So this class is called “Life Of” because it is a class related to the different parts of your life that you need to exercise as a Christian. Today, we are talking about a life of DEDICATION.
This week, we are going to talk about having a life of communion, as in how we will have communion with God. There are three main ways in which we can get in contact with God, which will be the three main points of this evening’s study: The Holy Spirit, The Word of God, and Prayer. We will start off with the Holy Spirit, since it ties in well with our last class.
To my understanding, some of you are at a crossroads. I know some of you are approaching or have already passed the time where you choose what college you are attending either this year or next year, right? Some of you are deciding other things, like what job you are going to apply to for your first job, or if you are even going to college. These are all decisions we have to make but we make them all to be what?
So for the past few weeks, we have been talking about how the Holy Spirit acts in us, and how it is what equips us to fight against the temptations of the world. It helps us stay dedicated to the faith, as well as being the one that ensures our communion with God the Father. It keeps us following its will, and it is something that continue to grow in each of us, as Christians.
